There are a variety of ways you can access food grown in West Carleton, in turn supporting your local economy. West Carleton has two seasonal community markets as well as and a number of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs. The CSA model is based on a seasonal agreement between farmers and their customers. Customers pay upfront at the beginning of the season, sharing the risk and bounty of the harvest. Customers normally receive a box of produce or farm products (meats, honey, etc) on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. Supporting West Carleton producers helps build a resilient local food economy.
